Covid 19 Surgery Policies

We understand these are worrying and challenging times for all. Our staff are working extremely hard to meet our patient needs. We want to ensure the safety of both our patients and staff.  We want to reassure our patients we are still here for you and to contact us if you have any concerns or worries whether they be Covid related or not.

Telephone calls: We have two incoming call lines into the Surgery.  We are currently experiencing a higher than normal call volume. We understand this can be frustrating and we will try to get to each call as quickly as possible. If you are having problems contacting us please present at the practice and one of our administration staff will be able to assist you.

Appointments:  If you wish to make an appointment please contact the surgery on 071 9321140 or come to the desk and our administration staff can assist you.

Prescription orders: Please note we are no longer in a position to accept prescription requests via phone. Please complete your re-order form and return it to the Surgery.  If you have asked for your script to be sent to a chemist please check with your chemist before contacting the Surgery as this can often tie up the phone lines and prevent others from getting through. Alternatively your chemist may be able to order on your behalf or you can post your order form directly to the Surgery. We will try our best to accommodate you any way we can.

Blood test:  If you feel you require a blood test please contact the Surgery to discuss with our nurse or GP.

Smear testing:  Our nurses are taking appointments for smear tests. Please only book in if your smear is due. For most up to date information visit the cervical check website here

Childhood immunisations: The nurse is still taking appointments for Childhood vaccines. If you wish to discuss your options before making an appointment we can arrange for a nurse to contact you.

Certificate orders: Certificates can be ordered via phone. For Covid 19 certificate guidelines visit the department of social protection website.

Pregnant women: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding our doctors and nurses are here for you. You can book a consultation with the nurse or we can arrange for a GP to contact you.

Covid results:  If you are referred for testing you will be contacted with your results before your GP receives them. If you have any enquiries about when you will receive your results contact HSE live on 1850 24 1850

Private Covid testing and Travel clearance certificates: We are not doing private PCR testing for travel in the Surgery at this time.

Covid 19 vaccination:  All further vaccinations will be done through the HSE. If you have queries about the vaccine or vaccine rollout please contact HSE LIVE on 185024180 or visit their website  For queries about vaccine passports please contact 1800 851 504
