We understand these are worrying and challenging times for all. Our staff are working extremely hard to meet our patient needs. We want to ensure the safety of both our patients and staff and for this reason we are not accepting any walk ins to the Surgery. All appointments must be made via phone. We want to reassure our patients we are still here for you and to contact us if you have any concerns or worries whether they be Covid related or not.
Telephone calls: We have two incoming call lines into the Surgery. During this time they are extremely busy and staff are under pressure . We appreciate the ongoing patience and understanding of all our patients at this time. If you are unable to get through please keep trying.
Appointments: We are here for you. If you Wish to make an appointment telephone the Surgery and we can arrange for a doctor to phone you back. All appointments must be made via phone. No walk ins will be seen.
Prescription orders: Prescriptions can be ordered via phone and sent directly to most chemists in Sligo town. If you have asked for your script to be sent to a chemist please check with your chemist before contacting the Surgery as this can often tie up the phone lines and prevent others from getting through. Alternatively your chemist may be able to order on your behalf or you can post your order form directly to the Surgery. We will try our best to accommodate you any way we can.
Driving medicals: The department of transport has suspended the necessity for over 70 driving medicals unless there is a identified or specified illness. For up to date information visit the NDLS website or click here.
Blood test: If you feel you require a blood test please contact the Surgery to discuss with our nurse or GP.
Smear testing: Cervical smear testing will resume on a phased basis from the 7th July. Cervical check will write to woman on a priority basis. Once you recieve a letter of invitation you can make an appointment with the nurse. Please do not make an appointment if you have not received a letter from Cervical check. For most up to date information visit the cervical check website here
Childhood immunisations: The nurse is still taking appointments for Childhood vaccines. If you wish to discuss your options before making an appointment we can arrange for a nurse to contact you.
Certificate orders: Certificates can be ordered via phone. For Covid 19 certificate guidelines visit the department of social protection website.
Pregnant women: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding our doctors and nurses are here for you. You can book a consultation with the nurse or we can arrange for a GP to contact you.
