The Mall Family Practice has been serving the community of Sligo for over 80 years. The Surgery was established on November 1st 1940 by Dr Patrick Heraughty and was originally located on The Mall.
In 1978, His son Dr Domhnall Heraughty joined the practice. In later years they were joined by Dr Roddy Quinn, Dr Siobhan McCormack, Dr Peter O’Shaughnessy, Dr David O’Connor, Dr Katie McAnena, Dr Grace Traynor and Practice nurses Pauline McLoughlin and Nicola Raftery.
In 2002, the practice moved from its original premises to its current location in the Primary Care Building on Barrack Street.

We want to ensure that our female patients have access to a full range of sensitive services and access to information so they can make informed decisions regarding their health and wellbeing. We are open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 2.00 to 4.45. We offer our patients a 24 hour emergency service via caredoc.
